So, here begins my blog! My way of showing the world the interesting life of a stay at home mommy of 3! It's fun, funny, busy, frustrating at times, adventurous, exhausting and rewarding! Need I say more?! I'm sure you are wondering about my Title? Hands and Feet? Well, I actually want to call it hands and Feet x 3! Here's the story why! I had been trying to come up with Blog names, Had a few in mind. Simply asked Jaxon my 3 year old yesterday, "Jax, mommies writing a blog!" The excitement on his face was overwhelming :) I asked him, "What should mommy name it?" His response" is that like a booger" as he picked his nose asking......."Well, no its where mommy writes about her days with you, daddy, bubba and Sister" Jaxon replied," Daddy told me not to pick my boogers" Hmmmmmm ok, Its not a booger Jax its a blog." I said what about Hands and Feet! He said, "Stinky Feet, That's funny, are Jesus Feet Stinky?" To this I simply sat quiet, dwelling on the question,"are Jesus Feet Stinky?!(If someone knows the answer to this, plz do share?)" I have to admit though, I sat and pondered this question and still do! Not so much"Are his feet stinky"lol but I sat and thought about the fact that Jesus loves us! Not just the days we smell Good look nice and are on top of the world! Not those of us who take showers everyday and some that don't(no offense to my mommy friends who don't and you know who you are). He loves us unconditionally no matter what we look or smell like or how bad we act, he loves us and even loves our stinky dirty feet! I mean, Gosh he must, he washed the feet of his disciples! Talk about dirty feet! They weren't able to get pedi's and use soap or even where shoes back in those days! So, when you picture the image of Jesus washing their feet, imagine the dirtiest smelliest feet ever! That would be like what he washed! Wow, I have a hard time just massaging Jason's after a long days work!
So, I continued to explain to Jaxon that we are Jesus Hands and Feet! That we are here to go tell the world that Jesus loves us and saved us! I then told him that we are to use our hands to glorify him in the things we do like when we play soccer or play at church. He replied," daddy said,we don't use our hands in soccer!" I'm just happy that he listens to daddy! I said, no we don't but we could still find ways to use our hands to Glorify Jesus! He answered, Me Ayden and Ella? I said yes all 3 of you! He said," all those hands and feet!"So the conclusion of my conversation with Jaxon was that he told me that he wanted to be Jesus feet and use them to play soccer because Jesus is so big he could kick the ball lots of high and wanted to use his hands to eat popcorn because he could eat bigger!Too Cute! Which made me love the concept of Hands and Feet, because we are to be our Saviors Hands and Feet here on Earth in all we do and as a mommy I have lots of hands and feet to train up right(thanks Jax for reminding me of all those hands and feet!" Proverbs 22:6 says,"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
So in conclusion here's one of my Favorite Songs by JJ Heller for you to Read the lyrics and Listen to! There is no better feeling than being cradled in the HANDS of our merciful, loving, all mighty Savior! Especially when some days are just tough, and as a mommy or just a person dealing with life's everyday struggles we know life's not always fair! I hope you enjoy my mommy blogs! We can laugh, scream, argue and cry together! I know I will do my best to help you find Joy in even the strangest of things like Boogers, dirty hands and Smelly Feet!!!!
Your Hands by JJ Heller
I have unanswered prayers
I have trouble I wish wasn't there
And I have asked a thousand ways
That You would take my pain away
That You would take my pain away
I am trying to understand
How to walk this weary land
Make straight the paths that crookedly lie
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine
When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands
When You walked upon the Earth
You healed the broken, lost, and hurt
I know You hate to see me cry
One day You will set all things right
Yea, one day You will set all things right
When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands
Your hands
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still
When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave You when...
When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave...
I never leave Your hands
Beautiful!! I thought of the Scriptures that speak of beautiful feet! This will blow Jax away!! Read Isaiah 52:7, Nahum 1:15 and Romans 10:15!! We who share the Good News have beautiful feet!!! How awesome is that for a soccer player who is doing his/her all to glorify God on the field!!
